Application for Registration without Examination as Agriculturist re-opened
Manila, September 25, 2013 – The Professional Regulation Commission announces the re-opening of the application for registration without examination for Agriculturists effective September 12, 2013.
The Commission, through Board of Agriculture Resolution No. 8 series of 2013, resolved to re-open the application for registration without examination to allow agricultural technicians and technologists who were unable to avail of the opportunity to register without examination due to difficulties in obtaining the documentary requirements and heavy work schedules.
The Board of Agriculture stated that, "academic institutions offering agriculture courses/programs are on the verge of losing seasoned and experienced faculty and staff if they are not afforded the chance to register without examination".
"The employment status and promotion of hundreds of agricultural technicians/technologists rests on their acquisition of license as agriculturists, as required under CSC Memorandum Circular No. 1 series of 2013 on the Qualification Standards for Agriculturists Positions", the Board added.
