Implementation of CPD Requirement for Metallurgical Engineers

Manila, September 19, 2017 – The Professional Regulatory Board of Metallurgical Engineeringannounces the implementation of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement for Metallurgical Engineers, pursuant to ResolutionNo. 03, S. 2017. The minimum number of Credit Units (CUs) for the transitionalperiod of implementation from 2017 to 2020 for the renewal of professional IDcards are as follows:

Year of Renewal	Required Number of CPD Credit Units
January-December 2017	0
January-December 2018	15
January-December 2019	30
January 2020 onwards	45

Starting January 2018, thefollowing professions will implement CPD compliance for renewal of professionalID cards: Nursing, Midwifery, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering,Chemistry, Chemical Technicians, Radiologic Technologist and X-ray Technologist.
