Manila, June 21, 2013 – The Professional Regulation Commission announces that the licensure examination for Optometrists originally scheduled on July 9-11 (Written) and 16-19 (Practical) this year has been postponed and re-set to SEPTEMBER 19-20 (Written) and OCTOBER 1-4 (Practical) .

The PRC through Resolution No. 766 dated June 17, 2013 stressed the need to postpone the exams due to vacancies in the Board of Optometry rendering the board short for the requirement for a quorum to validly transact official business including the formulation and extraction of test questions, examination proper and releasing of results.

The postponement will allow the new member(s) to formulate questions and prepare for the written and practical examinations.

The Optometrist licensure exam will be held in the city of Manila.
