Two PRCs Forging the Pact
Posted on 23 July, 2024

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – As part of the 51st Founding Anniversary of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC/Commission) and Professional Regulation Week, the Commission, together with its respective Regional Offices (ROs), once again gathered together for a voluntary and altruistic Mobile Blood Donation which started from June 13 to June 19, 2024. This event is a validation of the continuous collaboration of the Commission and the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) through the signed Memorandum of Agreement last June 19, 2023.

This momentous and significant event has been made possible by the generous support and backup of private and public volunteers, professionals, companies, and institutions such as the Accredited Integrated Professional Organizations (AIPOs), Accredited Professional Organizations (APOs), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), City Health Respective Office, Department of Health (DOH), Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Philippine Association of Medical Technologists, Inc. (PAMET), Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Nurses Association (PNA), Red Cross Respective Chapters, and Professional Criminology Association of the Philippines (PCAP) Chapters were present during the event.  From the fourteen ROs, the activity was able to gather more or less two hundred ninety-two thousand and five hundred (292,500) mL of blood from the six hundred and five (605) donors.

Standing together again, the Commission and PRC-Red Cross are firm in their belief and adherence to the goal of “One Blood Donation could save up to three lives.” The two agencies shall always be first, ready, and accessible for the humanitarian cause. Together, they are the professional frontrunners in providing one of the five lines of Red Cross service; that is, Blood Services. Towards “Bagong Pilipinas,” the two PRCs will continue to spread professional volunteerism across the nation; thus, ensuring unity and cooperation amongst the community, for the “gift of life”.
