PRC, recognized as Top Requested and Performing Agency in the eFOI Portal
Manila, Philippines – Aligned with the Professional Regulation Commission’s (Commission/PRC) thrust to render fast and efficient services to the public, the PRC was recognized as one of the Top Requested and Performing Agency in the Electronic Freedom of Information (eFOI) Portal (250-499) Category. The award was conferred by the Presidential Communications Office – Freedom of Information – Program Management Office and received by PRC through Atty. Angiereen D. Medina, Director IV of the Administrative Service, and Ms. Andrea May G. de Chavez, Head of the Anti-Red Tape Unit during the FOI Awards held on November 25, 2024, at the Hilton Manila Hotel.
FOI Awards is an annual event that brings together FOI officers and advocates from government and non-government sectors nationwide. This event recognizes the critical contribution and indispensable role of multi-sector implementers in the overall implementation of the FOI Program in the country.
The eFOI recognition attests to the Commission’s continuous and immediate action on requests for information about government transactions and operations, subject to reasonable conditions prescribed by existing laws.
As the Commission realizes the objectives of the FOI program to uphold the Constitutional right of people to information on matters of public concern, it is committed to ensuring the performance of its mandate in securing the best interest of its clients and the public in general.
Being recognized as one of the top requested and performing agency (250-499 Category) in the eFOI Portal, the PRC stands as a staunch partner of the government in strengthening the right to information while promoting transparency and increased accountability in the government.
