The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) joins the nation in the observance of the 18-day campaign to end Violence Against Women (VAW) from November 25 to December 12 as mandated under Proclamation 1172 s. 2006 and Republic Act (RA) No. 10398.

Spearheaded by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), with the 2022-2027 recurring campaign theme, “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines” and its 2024 sub-theme, “VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!” the PCW highlights the urgency of the advocacy in line with the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Anti-VAWC Act of 2004 (RA 9262).

The campaign to End VAW, intended to promote awareness on the forms of violence against women and girls, supports the Philippine Government’s goal of protecting the human rights of women and girls by upholding its commitment to address all forms of gender-based violence as enshrined in the 1987 Constitution.
