MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Hon. Adoracion P. Resurrecion, Chairperson of the Professional Regulatory Board of Chemistry was recently recognized by the Philippine Federation of Chemistry Societies (PFCS) for her outstanding contribution to the Chemistry profession through the PFCS Outstanding Achievement Awards. The awards aim to recognize the exceptional contribution of chemists to the development of the discipline, recognize the outstanding and exemplary contributions to society through chemistry, and inspire the youth to take up chemistry.

For many years, Dr. Resurrecion has been serving and leading the Board of Chemistry (BOC) at the Professional Regulation Commission while actively supporting the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines.

Under her leadership, a distinguishable reform was initiated in the administration of the Chemistry Licensure Examination (CLE) facilitating the improvement of the CLE national passing rate. Aside from representing the BOC in the CHED Technical Committee/Panel in Chemistry at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for four (4) years in redefining the educational standards and improving the quality of teaching among universities, she also spearheaded the implementation of the updated Table of Specifications for the CLE, ensuring its alignment with CHED Policies, Standards, and Guidelines (PSG).

Dr. Resurrecion likewise chairs the Continuing Professional Development Council for Chemistry, which aims to keep track of and assist the career pathway of chemistry professionals in updating and maintaining high ethical standards in their respective fields of expertise.    Her dedication to public service exemplifies excellence, integrity, and commitment which serves as a positive inspiration and truly a milestone for global benefit and inspiration for the entire chemistry professionals.  Truly, Dr. Resurreccion is a pivotal figure in the Chemistry Profession.  The Commission is exceptionally proud of her achievements and successes.  Congratulations, Dr. Resurreccion!
